First Public Meeting

The first public meeting was held Thursday, February 23, 2023, from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. This meeting acquainted attendees with the scope, purpose, and schedule of the Compatible Use Implementation process, provided an overview of each of the tasks and deliverables for the project, and solicited key input from attendees.
 

 

Second Public Meeting

The second public meeting was held on August 1, 2023 from 5:00 to 6:00 pm. Meeting attendees were provided with an overview of the draft tools being developed, which include public educational tools and resources for use by County staff to assist in making informed decisions about development and activity that is compatible or incompatible with Air Force operations. The tools presented were a public educational brochure about drone use and regulations, information on where recreational and commercial drones are prohibited and where they are allowed, a summary of military compatibility goals and policies to guide growth, a regional online GIS mapping portal and information website, and a discussion on alternative energy regulations.
