Project Area of Interest

 

 

The Nellis Complex encompasses 5,000 square miles and includes Nellis Air Force Base (AFB), Creech AFB, and the Nevada Test and Training Range (NTTR). Nellis AFB occupies approximately 21 square miles in the unincorporated town of Sunrise Manor, which is adjacent to the City of North Las Vegas and eight miles northeast of the City of Las Vegas. Creech AFB covers approximately three and a half square miles in the unincorporated town of Indian Springs, about 45 miles northwest of Nellis AFB. The NTTR includes roughly 5,000 square miles that straddle Clark, Nye, and Lincoln Counties in southern Nevada. The Nellis Complex is integral to U.S. military defense capabilities in providing advanced combat aviation training.
